Messages from the Book of Hebrews mp3

We don't know who wrote the Book of Hebrews but we do know he is very familiar with Old Testament Judaism. He writes to a group of Messianic Jews who, in part, are tempted to drift away from their belief in Jesus the Messiah. Not a good idea, says our writer!

In Hebrews 1.1 - 2.4 we look at how the writer proves that Jesus is superior to the Old Testament revelation via the prophets as well as superior to the angels. That's interesting but how superior is He then? The answer is very, very powerful.

In Hebrews 5.11 - 6.12 we are challenged to ask ourselves about our (spiritual) growth, or lack of growth. Why are some of us NOT growing? We also look at the contoversial "falling away" passage and ask: does this warning passage apply to genuine Christians? Lastly, we look at some wonderful encouragements for true believers.

In Hebrews 6.13 - 7.28 we look at how precious the HOPE that God has given to us in Jesus. We then explore how very special Jesus is - a permanent High Priest in the order of Melchizedek.
