Is atheism intellectually dead?
In the 1960's God was pronounced by the generation of its time as dead.
Today, God is very much alive and atheism is on the back foot.
Is atheism intellectually dead?
Are Dawkins and many others flogging a dead horse?
Many leading philosophers seem to think so.
Professor Antony Flew, once one of the world's leading atheists, published a book in 2007 entitled, "There is a God". His radical philosophical change caused quite a stir amongst atheists.
Without a prominent spokesperson, some of the modern atheists like Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens have stepped out of their intellectual disciplines in an effort to push the atheistic cause.
In the area of philosophy William Lane Craig sees a literal explosion in prominent academics who are Christians in many of the major Western Anglo universities of the world.
